Remember this floor lamp I purchased a while back from World Market?
Well, I have big changes to report…
Meet the NEW Tristan!
The new, improved, fabric covered Tristan, that is!
(ps. I do not name my lamps! Tristan is the name that World Market calls this lamp)
I don’t know why, but I was very hesitant to start this project. I was sure something would go wrong and it would be HARD. It was the exact opposite! Only took me about 40 minutes, with the help of painter’s tape to hold the fabric in place while my glue dried.
You can still see some of the green painter’s tape if you look closely.
And, I am still thinking about adding some trim around the edges, but this is a good start.
A great tutorial for this project can be found, here. This is the tutorial I followed and now that I know how easy it is, I will not hesitate to dress up some of my other boring white lamp shades.
And, in other Spring Break News:
Kite flying is not easy. We all know there is no lack of wind here in Colorado, but this little Pterodactyl would not fly for us today!
Better luck next time. We, on the other hand, will still be flying away to a warm, less windy destination very soon…
